Bárbara received her PhD from the University of La Laguna (ULL) in 2017. During this period, she worked on the development of methodologies for the analysis of endocrine disruptors in food and environmental samples using nanomaterials and novel microextraction techniques in combination with liquid and gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry. After finishing her PhD, she worked as a technician at the General Research Support Services (SEGAI), ULL (2017-2018) and, afterwards, as a lecturer in the Division of Analytical Chemistry at the same university (2018-2019). Then she worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Green Technology Group at the Department of Chemistry, Lund University (Sweden) where her research was focused on the evaluation of vitamin D metabolites in biological samples using supercritical fluids based techniques. Currently, she has a position as a postdoc in the Foodomics Group at the Institute of Food Science Research (CIAL, CSIC).
